Notification of Incidents to the Housing Regulator

In accordance with the Regulatory Framework HCBS is required to notify the SHR of serious incidents that relate to tenants or residents that receive a housing related service from the council, for example, factored owners.  These incidents would have been reported to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), other regulators or statutory bodies, or insurance providers.

In the event of an incident being reported, the details will be advised to the SHR via the Improvement team.  Where an Insurance Company reports a (potential) concern to the FMU, this will be advised to the HCBS Head of Service for appropriate action.
