LGBT HISTORY MONTH - Catalyst; 50 years of Activism

LGBT History Month takes place in Scotland every February. It's an opportunity to celebrate LGBT culture, reflect on LGBT history and look to the future of activism.

The focus of LGBT History Month this year is Catalyst: 50 years of Activism.  This is to mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprisings in New York and the birth of the modern Pride movement.

As a Diversity Champion and a continued supporter of a diverse and inclusive workforce, West Lothian Council continues to support LGBT History Month. To show our support, West Lothian Council will be flying the rainbow flag at our headquarters at the Civic Centre in Livingston from the 1st - 8th February (inclusive).

Flying the flag highlights and supports the council's commitment to creating an inclusive and equal environment for people living and working in our community.
